Trek to Sarasgad – Part II

As described in the earlier post, Trek to Sarasgad, I stopped at the solitary tree and did not go to the top. So obviously, my description and photos do not cover the part beyond there. Vikrant took it upon himself to write the description for the part beyond. Here is what he had to say, and the photographs beyond that point.

We continued our journey ahead to reach the top of the fort where the 1st group (divided by distance ☺) was on the way. We continued on the path.

We were about 40 to 45 minutes away from the top of the fort. We had to make a complete round to the pinnacle to find our route. On our way, we passed through the rock patches, a series of caves & water tanks. The water in the ponds was refreshingly cold & it was covered with a thick blanket of green leaves.

On the top there is a makeshift Kedareshwar Temple that offered some shade. Next to the temple is a pond. The views around were beautiful and rewarding.

We spent about an hour on the top, exploring it and taking pictures. Soon we came down and met with the people who were waiting for us.
